Unity3D Characters – Sam and Casey

sam_unity_web_player

“Sam” is a character I built and rigged for a client from their concept art. The task was to produce a character  who could display a variety of bone-driven facial expressions, for a psychology game. This is a test of that functionality within a Unity3D Web Player. (Click and drag to orbit, mouse wheel to zoom.) Unfortunately this player no longer works in Google Chrome, but should still work in Firefox and Safari.

Here’s a screen capture of the web player showing the character Sam cycling through some facial expressions:

The client’s poly limit was very high and I took full advantage of it to pour a huge amount of detail into the face:

“Casey” was another character for the same client. Another artist created the hair and clothes.
